The GB3WI Information Page

Status From 19/06/01 - On Air

Welcome to the GB3WI Webpage, This site should give you an insight into the Wisbech based amateur radio voice repeater. The repeater was acquired in the early part of 2001 by the Wisbech Amateur Radio & Electronics Club from the North Cambs Repeater Group who had kept the repeater in service for several years, a big thanks goes out to the Members of NCRG.
The repeater is based on a Pye F496 with G3RKL/GB3US Logic built by Derek G4SJV, a member of the Fenland Repeater Group. The antenna is a single Co-linear fed via a circulator to give full duplex operation.
The operating channel is RB15 (433.375 Output - 434.975 Input). Access is achieved by either a 1750Hz Tone or CTCSS tone F (94.8).

Here is John (G8GIN) and Alan (M0DUQ), John is the Repeater Technician & Alan is the Repeater Keeper. Both have put lots of hard work into getting GB3WI back on the air!

If you look on the end of the main building behind the white tower you can see the mast and antenna.
